This site is a portfolio for my paintings, illustrations and web work.

My whole life has been spent drawing and painting and in recent years I moved into digital art with Photoshop and Illustrator. I'm currently working as a front end web developer and graphic designer.

Web

I have experience in (X)HTML, CSS and Javascript. I try to build fast loading and standards compliant sites which have strong visuals.

Art

The main focus of my art and illustration has usually been figurative as well as portraits, working from photos and life. Most of my ideas start in biro or pencil, messing around with my sketchbook or scraps of paper. Since I use a graphics tablet to paint with digitally I haven't touched real paint or a brush for a few years.

Recently I did some illustrations and concept art for a social game on facebook. You can see the game concept art here. The idea for the game was to build your own music festival by building stages, booking bands and then sharing it all with your friends. Check the game out.

When I was younger I really liked comic book art, people like Simon Bisley, Geoff Darrow, Chris Cunningham and Frank Frazetta inspired me and I used to sit and copy their work all day and night. Nowadays I am just as inspired by Film, literature and other forms of art like tattoos, graffiti and character design.
